Slobbery pop by a buncha lugs: The Verms play short songs about things.
Ray, AKA Earl Butter, of Boston and San Francisco’s alt country combo The Buckets, writes most of the Verms’ songs, plays the trumpet, and sings.
Melanie was also in The Buckets, and has played accordion and drums for more classic Bay Area bands. She currently splits her Verms time with It Thing, Yard Sale, and Los Maharachis Sin Turbantes. She is the owner of a tall dog.
Mike can plays ferocious, angry guitar and ukulele and in doing so has compelled thousands of fans to their dancing feet in his other gig leading The Shut-Ins.
Scotty stands far to the left so that he doesn’t hit the other Verms accidentally. He played the bass in Carrie Bradley’s pop orchestrette 100 Watt Smile and once in a while picks the steel guitar in Oakland’s The Mighty Lynch-Pins.
